When you don’t feel like preparing a meal for the family, why not give yourself some time off? Salisbury, MD is a great place to be with its long list of family-friendly restaurants. See the following for some local favorites.

1. JoJo’s

This venue operates on the belief that your dining experience is as important as the food you eat. It’s about fellowship with your friends and family, which is why they offer private dining and even private family suites so you can focus on your loved ones while also enjoying JoJo’s delicious food. Their meals are made from homemade sauces, bread, and seasonings, and they use only quality and fresh ingredients.

Start the group off with something from the shareable menu, such as the colossal crab dip, the onion ring basket, or the cheesy bacon fries. Meal choices include a soup and salad bar, sandwiches, burgers, pasta dishes, and a variety of seafood creations. We highly recommend making a reservation as this restaurant is very popular. JoJo’s is located at 301 E Naylor Mill Rd.

2. Sage Diner

A great choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Sage Diner offers a variety of meals at affordable prices. Plus, they also offer specials for all three meals, and breakfast is served all day. Stop in for breakfast and enjoy two pancakes and two French toast slices, chicken and waffles, country-fried steak, or a Greek omelet. For lunch, try the boneless pork chop fritter sandwich, the pulled BBQ pork sandwich, the veggie burger, or grilled cheese.

Dinner dishes feature a 10 oz. prime rib and three jumbo-fried shrimp, fried flounder and crabcake, fried catfish, broiled tilapia, chicken parmigiana with spaghetti, and rainbow trout, all of which come with either soup or salad, two vegetables, and your choice of pudding, jello, or ice cream. You’ll find Sage Diner at 917 S Salisbury Blvd.

3. Kellyn’s Kafe

This family-owned restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch and is always popular with the kids as they specialize in cake donuts, ice cream, and milkshakes. But before the kids get too excited, be sure they have a proper meal of pancakes, French toast, an omelet, or two eggs, all with bacon slices. The adults can enjoy a Philly cheese steak omelet, a create-your-own platter, or the Kafe’s health nut breakfast sandwich.

For lunch, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, and hot dogs are popular with the kids, and the sandwiches and subs are always a great choice for the adults. Kellyn’s Kafe is located at 748 E Main St.
