Both SUVs earned a five-star overall crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in 2025. Common standard driver assistance tech includes forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and reverse automatic emergency braking.
The base trim of the Mach-E adds traffic sign recognition, a surround-view camera, and BlueCruise. This system lets you engage in hands-free driving on certain highways.

The base trim of the Escape has dual 8-inch screens while the Mach-E sports a 15.5-inch touchscreen and a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster. Both come standard with a Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity. The electric SUV also adds standard wireless device charging, which you can get as an option on the gas-powered Escape.
