Ford is consistently ranked as one of the top pickup manufacturers, and for good reason: their trucks are proven workhorses that offer an excellent balance between workload, style, and tech. Here at your local Ford dealership, we have a range of vehicles available, including two of Ford’s most popular pickups: the 2025 Ford Ranger and the 2025 Ford F-150.
Performance
The 2025 Ford Ranger is a mid-size pickup with two available engines across its three trims: a 2.3L four-cylinder and a 2.7L V6, both paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with optional drivetrains of RWD or 4WD.
The 2025 Ford F-150 is a full-size pickup that offers more diverse options across its seven trims, adding a 5L V8, 3.5L V6, and hybrid powertrain to its line-up. Those looking for more power or like the idea of an eco-friendly option, the F-150 offers options suited to every need.
Towing
When it comes to towing, the Ranger can haul up to 7,500 pounds, while the F-150’s maximum towing capacity is 13,500 pounds with the 3.5-liter V6 engine, which drops to 12,700 pounds with the hybrid model.
Cabin and Interior
All trims in the Ranger have a SuperCrew cab style with four doors, seating room for five passengers, and a 5-foot bed length. It has a spacious interior, with plenty of room for the rear passengers to stretch out.
The F-150 has the SuperCrew cab style available alongside two other options: SuperCab, a six-passenger cabin with two full-size doors and two small rear-access doors; and Regular Cab, a two-door, three-passenger cabin. Bed lengths for the F-150 vary from 5.5 feet to 8 feet, depending on cab style and trim.
Connectivity and Technology
The Ford Ranger has a standard 10.1-inch infotainment display, with the option to upgrade to a bigger, vertically oriented 12-inch screen. The F-150 comes with a standard 12-inch screen.
Both models are equipped with the latest version of Sync 4 software, offering standard smartphone connectivity, 5G WiFi connectivity, and real-time weather, traffic, and safety alerts. The F-150 offers an additional Heads-Up Display that displays important information such as speed limits and your current speed directly on the windshield.
Safety
The Ranger comes with basic driver-assistance features, including automatic emergency braking and forward-collision warning. More advanced features such as adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are available in higher trims. The F-150 offers similar standard safety abilities, with additional premiums including Blue Cruise, a subscription-based service that allows for hands-free driving.
Both the mid-size 2025 Ford Ranger and the full-size F-150 offer impressive features and capabilities. Come down to Pohanka Ford of Salisbury today to check out both.
